The Mixxer is a free educational site for language learners to find a partner for a language exchange.
Enter some information about yourself, particularly the languages you want to practice, and can then search for native speakers of those languages who want to practice speaking and/or writing your mother tongue.
*** The program most commonly used among Mixxer language partner is Skype. You can download it here.
A couple of weeks ago, students in Level 13 classes paired up and performed short scenes from Friends. Then they watched the real episode after filming their scene. Each character was played by two students: one student focused on acting/miming and the partner focused on the voice-over. It was SO difficult for the students NOT to laugh while practicing the scene. When finally in front of the camera, the students tried to seriously perform without bursting into laughter.
